CLASSES
Stages Performing Arts is an interdisciplinary dance and performing arts studio with over 40 years of teaching experience. Classes are fun, active and educational. Students are welcomed into a friendly and relaxed environment where they learn specialist dance, singing and acting techniques, taught and guided by our highly qualified teachers who maintain a structured level of discipline and professionalism whilst encouraging students’ confidence and improving their social development skills.
Classes are available in ISTD Ballet, Modern, Tap, Freestyle, Jazz (Lyrical, Contemporary, Technical), Pointe, Street, Acro, Musical Theatre, Drama, Singing, Stretch & Conditioning and Technique. Our Drop & Shop class is specifically designed for U8’s and offers Freestyle Disco Dancing, Singing, Acro Mat work and Social Drama Games where the emphasis is placed on creating a happy, friendly environment in which everyone feels able to enjoy learning to dance and perform. Private lessons are also available in all genres by arrangement.
Examinations are held annually in ballet, modern, tap and freestyle with the ISTD and with Trinity in singing. Students are trained to develop and progress at their own pace and are offered to take an exam when they are ready to do so and not held back. Studying syllabus gives a pupil determination and the exams provide them with a sense of achievement.
